I contemplated using the wrong term* in order to not confuse US readers, but then figured its a UK site and I was in the UK so I'd use the English word derived from France which is derived from the Catalonian word. Otherwise, where would we be? Confused thats where!

*eggs come from insects, birds, reptiles, amphibians etc not plants.
