The facts dont support the notion we've slipped away from the top 6

Since New Years Day fixtures:

Arsenal 48 pts
Chelsea 42 pts
United 42 pts
City 36 pts
Spurs 34 pts
Liverpool 34 pts
Everton 30 pts
Southampton 28 pts

...that is us right in amongst it and a very bridgeable gap back to where we were.
Season doesn't run from New Year's Day, David.

If we get +3 for today as we'd written off as a loss then -2 from the Watford game as that should be a win then we're currently +1 for our season tally which should see us win the league if we hold this form.

I believe today was a par 2 game, we have a few par 1 games coming up so if we can aim for a point in each of those par 1's and keep winning our par 2's, we'll deffo be the next invincibles

who are these others of which you speak??? those teams were placed above us because of points gained, not because the mysterious "others"put them there, what devilish game are you playing here?
The perception is we've been left last season by those teams.

The point is a simple and effective one to counter that notion.

but even if the stats you posted are taken into account they still show 6 teams since new years day who did get more points than us, it's a wicked game you play dave, a wicked wicked game

Yes, our natural peer group...unless you believe that dross like West ham and stoke are our peers now?!

Think the point hes making is despite what theplotters would have you believe we did remonstrate the problems after such an awful spell around the new year, and despite the quality of football not being the greatest we still ground out the points, and over the past 6 months the points gained is back around were we should expect. Still a crap season due to placing but the signs of recovery is there, just need the style of play on the pitch to get more consistent

Obviously we want boss football along with earning the points this season
