The facts dont support the notion we've slipped away from the top 6

Think the point hes making is despite what theplotters would have you believe we did remonstrate the problems after such an awful spell around the new year, and despite the quality of football not being the greatest we still ground out the points, and over the past 6 months the points gained is back around were we should expect. Still a crap season due to placing but the signs of recovery is there, just need the style of play on the pitch to get more consistent

Obviously we want boss football along with earning the points this season
we want goals, trophies and songs, no one cares about points any more

Thanks. That is exactly the point.

Oh sorry, forgive me for pointing out a natural marker in the footy calendar that actually shows us in a good light in comparison with our rivals.

Would you like a doom and gloom thread to make you feel more like a 'proper Evertonian'?

It's convenient though isn't it, given the results either side of the cut off date.

That's why it's a bit silly to use anything other than like for like comparisons between seasons rather than looking for form where none can exist without bias.

I think we're all being a bit harsh on Dave.

Today could be a watershed moment for him, as it possibly could be for Martinez.

I think today is the first day in a long time where Dave has been concerned with POINTS rather than PASSES.

Sorry to go all damon like there but it was neccesary i feel.

Well done Dave, there is hope for you yet.

Lads, i've just checked the data and using a cut off point of 2 games ago we are undefeated and riding high in the league.

Who says that Martinez is rubbish, we're on for miracle number 2 here.

No it's not "convenient". It's a natural marker point many in football use.

As said, if you don't like what it shows, fine. Leave it. I and probably others will see it as a positive sign.
