I get what you are saying steks, I've been very much in the camp of we desperately need change but the right change. Lets see how this Leeds takeover goes, will it be a Man City or a Portsmouth.

The big thing is the ground issue, we will be left behind without the ability to make more money on a match day. Hospitality is a massive revenue where we dont do hardly anything- no corporate boxes- wtf?!

Cheers, IMO most takeovers go wrong because the money is spent wrong. I don't think most of us would be crying for Messi and Ronaldo if we were took over. If anything I think we'd all like to see our club modernised a bit. Next to nothing has really been done for two decades now. Those two decades football has completely changed beyond all recognition.

Pompey were a lower prem side with an awful ground but a good support. If they tried to improve off the pitch instead of paying Defoe and Crouch 80k pw things may have been very different. they never and paid the price the same as loads did.

Arsenal post a massive profit yesterday of almost £40m. Our clubs weren't so different at the start of the EPL era. Even now we aren't galaxies apart. They have built a ground due to Wenger and his style of football making them so desirable. We have got some of the building blocks in place to do the same IMO.

It wouldn't have been as enjoyable at the match in our not world class box/stadium....... meeting at ****ty alehouses at the Venice of the North, Kirkby.....without decent transport links to get away.......and paying off the loans on the stadium that was not effectively free.

Which was Bill's genius idea.

What makes you think anybody who see's the board as failures doesn't enjoy the games as much as you?

If you enjoy the game and its not crept in that EVERYTHING about Everton is negative then ideal, you are not included in that encapsulating phrase. Some however won't notice any quality one touch ttacking football going on.. They don't rememeber the Anichebe goal or the Pienaar backheel, only the Ba one and Distins backpass last season, they won't rememember 3-0 v Swansea, only defeat v Leeds. They are so caught up in finding any little thing to latch onto that is negative that can be used against the board or Moyes, that even if we beat United 10-1 they will be the ones on here slating the defence and Keeper for the goal we conceeded.
I have no issue at all with people going out and protesting and being upset we have no money, but some despair at a season that was far greater than they think because they spent the whole year moaning about how rubbish everything is.
Others look at the good stuff, have a great time but still moan at Kenwright..
Both have had the same seasons, one's enjoyed it with occasional despairs.. The others just despaired. You tell me who's the fool there?

Liking alot of the posts today. Good work.

People take their hate of the board and apply to the manager, the team and any kind of loss/poor performance

Can't argue with that!

It's natural the knee jerk stuff. I suppose it's just a case of trying to swerve letting it come across on here for some.

I honestly believe there are some great minds on here from what i read in good debates in threads. But no one has put together any plan or proposal to improve the club. Quite simply TINA.

We say its "our" club, but then say "he" (Bill) should be doing better, instead of saying "us" or "we".

I understand we don't have direct control, but recently i heard a story about a 9 year old girl who photographed her school dinners everyday for a blog, which became very popular, then one day the school banned her blog as a newspaper had picked up on it and written a story. Of course the moment this got out, the fallout from the internet was immense, and very soon after the School had done a complete 180 and insisted they'd never do anything as oppressive as that....

I know its a bit random, but imagine if fans created something positive, and the evil within tried to ban it. They'd give in to the pressure...

The whole BU stuff was floored by the inability to get the media on board in my opinion...

The BU were nowhere near sophisticated enough to do the dance with seasoned campaigners with massive(relative) media clout IMO. They also shot and continuie to shoot themselves in the foot IMO, especially with thier social media presence.

The momentum was halted when they intimated that continuing to protest would be damaging to the club as a takeover was in the offing, nothing materialised and they have done little of note since.

That said every single idea they had has been shot down by the club who have shown over the years a reluctance to give any fans ideas the time of day.

You cant expect the board to 'give any fans ideas the time of day' when they turn their backs on fellow shareholders.

Kenwright has to sell BEFORE he pops his clogs because there is nobody in his family taking an interest in taking over his GROWING shareholding with the club.

When that time comes I wonder if those same shareholders the board has ignored turn their backs on his plan to reap the gains on his shares?

Nicely put.

Here's an idea for the BlueUnion. There are literally millions of Evertonians (possibly). Why don't they set up a paypal and we all chip too, I'll stick £50 quid in, some can put more, some less. The board don't look like building a new stadium so let's build it ourselves.
People would call it small-time but the only way we can move forward is investment, I already invest a fair few quid and a considerable amount of time on Everton, another £50 quid isn't gonna kill me.

Fans putting the money to rebuild Goodison has been suggested but rejected as an idea by the board.

When was this Dave? Got any links to support this? I'm curious what the boards exact response was, as that would be something to work on.

The one thing the 'media' agree on is Goodison is old. If they hear fans are putting up money for stadium or renovation and the board are refusing it, they will report it at the right time.
