Keith Harrion was just asked about the sale of Everton football club on Sky Sports news. When asked if we were for sale for around £150m he said

If I "invested" 5m, I wouldnt expect it back.

If I bought the Club for 7m, if for the last 10 Years I had ran the Club into the Ground, whilst enjoying the perks of being Chairman and not spending 1 DIME, I would only expect my 7m back.

The only way that £150 million makes sense is if they are selling the club on the basis that whoever buys it has to commit to either spending £80 million or so on the team, or building a new ground. (edit) Which Elstone did sort of imply in his blog post about the sale process.
