You are waiting for what would be a first.....a "viable" buyer/any buyer at all being approached by or approaching a fans group, deciding they want to buy a football club, and asking the fans group to publicise/endorse their bid.

The BU can do us all a huge favour by exerting maximum pressure on Bill/the Spurs investors/that other guy who's been dead 10 years but still sits near Bill in the directors box, to sell their shares at a reasonable cost rather than holding out for maximium profit whilst strangling the club.

Sorry mate but if you think a few hundred people marching up Goodison Road can change the minds of a few people expecting to pocket millions from the eventual sale of their shares is going to happen, well.....

On another note, their 'link' page always make me laugh.

Here is obvious, but No Kipper or NSNO? Wonder why...

Kipper's owners are so far up Kenwright's arse they can see Barrymore's feet, so no surprises there. NSNO? I think there was a falling out there between Si and some of the People's group...or some such daft internicine cyber-war bollocks.

Pressure can be brought to bear by a few hundred people. Do you think it was the whole of the Leeds fanbase who demanded action from the sports minister and FA on revealing who really runs that club from the BVI? No it wasn't, but they got the job done.

Yes but unless you know otherwise, the situation at Goodison is far different from that at Elland Road - here we have incompetent Directors and major shareholders, Leeds was an entirely different case...

No it isn't. In both cases the issue is over the probability of shadow directors running the club from distance from conveniently anonymous financial vehicles.

I have no evidence of that, I'd be interested if you can substantiate the claim..

Leeds is well documented. Supporters groups there ran a campaign to have government intervene. BCR Sports needs similar treatment to examine who exactly it is who controls a large chunk of the club's fortunes. I think this avenue will be pursued more rigorously now.

I was not asking you to substantiate the Leeds position, it as, as you say, well documented - however the situation at Everton is not - who can substantiate your claims?

As with Leeds, the claims can only be substantiated when it's revealed who, with Robert Earl, is behind BCR Sports. We have his word that it's his family, so presumably he wouldn't mind complying with a similar government intervention into Everton's ownership. Seems a reasonable request for fans to ask given the continued and conspicuous failure of the football club to be approached for a buyout and the constant press reports linking a non-director with the governance of our club.

Not at all, yet the Board would like you to believe this - clearly BU does not have the support of the majority of Evertonians, nor do the majority support the Board - the fact is that most want change, yet do not see BU as the solution.

It's up to BU or any other interest group to provide the viable solution, then they become a player, until then they're just a noisy minority potentially de-stabilsing the club further!

This mirrors my view and understanding exactly. The BU are trying to position themselves as if they are THE voice of the Everton fanbase, which is patently untrue. The absence of links to other sites on its link page tells its own story, namely DK, split of the fanbase once again. Sad.

Legally the fans have no standing in the financial and corporate affairs of the club, so I go back to my original point - a few hundred can potentially damage the club further whilst having no realistic chance of improving the club by forcing the Board/major shareholders to make the changes the majority desire.

You've moved quickly away from expecting them to do the impossible (provide a viable solution to change at the top, which is only in the power of those currently owning majority shares)........

If it is a question of a few people looking to pocket millions, you either pressurise them or do **** all. I personally have done **** all so far, but I support those that have. You can see that Bill isn't enjoying the spotlight though, which is nice.
