I've just read this about the new DWP laws. It's a quote from Big Brother Watch....

I'm assuming they've never been through an airport where there is an extremely high level of state surveillance and certainly no presumption of innocence.
People happily get body searched, bag searched and if needs be, cavity searched.
I wonder how many people would still be happy to fly if all that state surveillance was taken away.
Some will argue it's a very different scenario. Well yes, it is but it's there for exactly the same reason. It's there to search out the very small percentage of people that try to sneak things through the system.
