How about...Arteta in as manager with Moyes as his assistant?

Moyes would be seen as 'helping' a former player to get ob the managerial ladder and perhaps only in for the season as his assistant.

Arteta taking the reigns building expansive football from a solid Moyes defence...

Id be very excited with that...
Ridiculous, Moyes would never do that.. I actually thought you might suggest my thoughts earlier today.

Arteta manager with Cahill as assistant.

Why would moyes be anyone's assistant? He is a premier league manager and has been one for a long time, when he was with us he had full control of the football club, to come back as an assistant would not be a viable option, unless he was 70 and looking to wind down a bit.

Arteta is not the answer. He has never managed at any level. he is a coach, some people don't even want to be a manager, like like to coach or be an assistant

Bradley Walsh and Ricky (looks like big sam)Tomlinson.
Ricky's a red but FSW also is.

This would be very Everton - either appoint Arteta and then undermine him by trying to bring in a 'safe pair of hands' alongside him, or appoint Moyes and offer Arteta the no. 2 with the view to him taking over next season. So Everton.

It would be a risk to appoint Arteta, but given the choice, I would so much rather take that than have Moyes anywhere near our club. With him you KNOW, what you get; mostly dour football and mediocrity along with outmoded methods. With Arteta, at least you would have the hope that he might turn out to be good.

Not saying he would be my first choice, but if the club offer the role to Arteta, they have to give him the freedom and trust to do it properly.

Arteta with Timmy C as assistant - the latter would surely kick the Schneiderman's sorry butt all over FF - and on that basis, I'm in.

Don't ask me where the post is, but said the same earlier on, haha, might work, Moyes experience add Arteta's continental flair. Also mentioned there are other candidates such as Blanc and even Benitez.

Wtf is it with Arteta ?????

Based on what?

His cone-placing skills or his ability to whisper sweet nothings in Peps ear

Please God.. give it a rest!

That's the same with every new manager isn't it ? One time Guardiola and Mourinho were cone placers. Mourinho was Bobby Robson's cone placer at Barcelona. Even the great one's started somewhere.

Moyes narcissism (he talks about himself in the 3rd person the mentalist crank) wouldn't allow him to be anything other than numero uno. It's a non starter
