I watched it with my mum and I remember it, giving both of us nightmares.

I know this sounds terrible but my abiding memory of Threads is the woman wetting herself in the middle of Sheffield as the bomb drops.

I know this sounds terrible but my abiding memory of Threads is the woman wetting herself in the middle of Sheffield as the bomb drops.

What about the main character (also Mrs Broom out of Johnny Briggs) biting through the umbilical cord of her daughter.
My childhood officially ended at that moment.

…so sad to hear Judith Durham has passed away. I have shared this song with my grandchildren since the days they were born, it’ll always be Grandads song for them;

Used to sing this to my kids, we sang it at primary school as my Headmaster was a big folk/country music fan.
