Darryl Hunt, bass player for The Pogues has passed away aged 72. Didn't realise he was quite that old as he always looked fairly young. That's two members of the Pogues gone and by some miracle Shane is still going, just.

That's like one of those utterly crap 'funny' pictures my 74-year-old dad sends me in WhatsApp. His are usually more racially themed and get instantly deleted, but wouldn't surprise me if this one popped up sooner or later on my phone.

I would have bet money that Shane would be the first. Loved the Pogues! The first time I heard them, they actually got called Póg Mo Thóin on radio. Someone must have quickly given them the ' heads up'. ?
