For words like practise/practice and counsel/council, the word with the 's' is a verb and the word with the 'c' is a noun. Same with prophesy/prophecy. Thus, when a prophet prophesies he makes prophecies. If one made prophecies in the past, one prophesied. Many mistakenly employ 'prophesised' as a past tense/participle...there is no such word.
Cunning linguist

The most intellectually-sound post ever made in the history of Grand Old Team. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Wrestler Big Van Vader has died today, not watched wresting for years, loved the wresting when i was a kid, well about 18 haha, RIP

I hope you don't talk like that to those short-fused, fasting Bangladeshi co-workers of yours ... lol
I asked one what team he was supporting at World Cup.
"England, obviously, as I've lived here since i was 10 !"

I'm swerving any chat now, as I keeping making a tit of myself out of an ignorance that is new to me !

...ex-Everton striker, Ernie Hunt has died aged 75. I remember watching him. sad news.

RIP Ernie.
It's a pity, but inevitable, that he will always be best remembered for that Coventry goal against us.
EDIT What I never knew until I just read it, is that his real name was Roger. He used his fathers name 'Ernie' to avoid being confused with the redsh*te Roger.

Ernie Hunt. Maybe one of the first players that I'm aware of that we bought just because we could.
Can't honestly remember much of him whilst with us.
