It's pretty grim, and salacious. And unsubstantiated. Involves the chocy treat being hidden on someone's person and being erm, consumed by the other from that position of hiding. You’re right , everyone had an opinion on it. It’s a tough one as the homeowner should have a legal right to defend himself and his property but it was a kid and there was no sign of Tony being in mortal danger .
He was also had some mental health issues .

Yes he had aspergers, i seem to recall he'd been targeted several times previously - which muddied the waters further as to wether or not it was pre meditated.

It's certainly a tough one, as to how far one can go to defend oneself, and ones property.

I don't think anyone wants a 16 year old to die in such circumstances, but unless he sat down with the kid, got his life story and then still shot him. How was he to know he was so young?

Ideally he should have given warning shots, hoping they ran anyhow. Unless you happen to be Duncan Ferguson, I can only imagine seeing two people in your house totally takes away rational thought. Perhaps Sue is talking more in general terms of someone standing up to low life criminals and not the glorification of a boy losing his life.
