What a great pub team name as well….i think it’s fitting to mention the passing of Stu Daly, a stalwart of local amateur football in Liverpool. Stu managed ROMA (Royal Oak Muirhead Avenue) for many years before becoming an administrator for Liverpool Combination and running the Leagues rep side.
Blokes like Stu give a large portion of their lives to grass-roots football, collecting subs, raising funds, getting players, organising pitches, washing kits etc for little or no reward. Always enjoyed his company, he’ll be missed by many & thoughts are with his family.
