The passing of Denis Law today got me thinking, football as we once knew it has gone forever. Footballers from that era were also characters outside of the game, they resonated with ordinary people, if that’s the correct way to phrase it. Away from the game you’d possibly see them down the pub or at the cinema, or the races, mixing with ordinary every day people. Footballers now have become such protected commodities to the owners of their clubs that they dare not risk attempting to live any kind of normal existence…. It’s actually quite sad.
Yes remember coming out of The Forum cinema at the end of the night when I noticed Bobby Collins not long after he had signed for Everton, I was staring at him and he glared back at me with his face saying “ Who are you bleedin’ looking at “ He just didn’t know how famous he was, well to me anyway!

I'm intriuiged by this mars bar story
It's pretty grim, and salacious. And unsubstantiated. Involves the chocy treat being hidden on someone's person and being erm, consumed by the other from that position of hiding. I'm not doing a good job here. Trying to talk around the subject I suppose. Not even working up a sweat, let alone a lather.
I wanna know, was it still in it's wrapper. And did he's trademark teeth help or hinder the retrieval of this sweet treat.
