Alas, the last surviving member of The Band survives no more!

RIP Garth Hudson, quirky multi-instrumentalist who, upon being invited to join the group, made the other members each pay him a regular fee to cover "music lessons," so this classically trained musician's family wouldn't blow their tops over his collaborating with a bunch of longhairs.

He made it to 87. Not too shabby, Garth.

Remember him playing for Wrexham in the late 60s early 70s. Was a good keeper tbf. RIP.

He was only 51. Not sure where they got 65 from, unless it was stone
