…ah, that’s sad news. I knew him a little when he was a young aspiring actor at the Everyman in about 1975. I worked in the Civil Service so I can’t say too much about the circumstances but he was a really nice bloke;

Was outstanding as John Lennon is Willy Russell’s play John, Paul, George, Ringo and Bert - a fantastic show at the Everyman that launched Benny and others to stellar acting careers.
