Just came to post about DH Peligro. Ace drummer and the rare black face in the Bay Area punk of my youth.

Bless his Reagan-hating heart and RIP.

RIP D.H. Peligro, Dead Kennedys drummer, only got one LP by them, Fresh fruit for rotting Vegetables, which is great

Listened to that only the other day, so much energy and vitriol in their songs.
Don't sleep on the followup EP, In God We Trust, Inc., and the second LP, Plastic Surgery Disasters. Both are excellent.

The rest you can sleep on.

Agree with first part but I think Frankenchrist has some key Kennedys cuts, especially “soup” and Jock-o- Rama, which is a bit of a live staple too (the crowd joking in on the “star quarterback” section is always great. While the album is not as frenetic and energetic, as the first two it’s still got some fine political commentary and definitely worth checking out for anyone who wants to discover their back catalogue.

Sad to hear about DH, as I was looking forward to seeing him- and them- again. Last time was 2017. Obviously no Jello, but still a tight band and the crowd really knew their stuff…apart from one bloke at the back who kept shouting “where the f***s Jello, you c****”
