German electronic pioneer Klaus Schulze aged 74.
Not as well know as some of his contemporaries, but knocked out some great electronic music in the late to mid 70's

Big fan, i own about a dozen of his albums. X, Moondawn and Cyborg are the big 3 for me. Raw uncompromising stuff.
Later work with Lisa Gerrard et al is milder, smoother, cleaner, friendlier. Dreamy.
With almost 50 albums under his belt - and with countless modern electronica artists influenced by his music - i'd say he had a decent innings.
His final piece is based off the new Dune film, will be released posthumously now.
