Farewell to Burke Shelley who has passed away at the age of 71 after a long illness. Born in Tiger Bay, Cardiff, Shelley was the lead vocalist and bass player in Budgie, one of the great power trios of the 70’s. Rush and Metallica owe them a lot and Metallica credit Budgie partly for their success. He was one of Wales finest musicians, and who else but Budgie could have an album called Squawk. RIP
