OK I confess I am a regular checker of this thread as it helps us ex-pats keep up. However I have noted there have been no new updates since Carlo left for Madrid. Was he the only other person using multi's to update the Dead Thread?

David Dushman, Soviet tank driver who helped to liberate Auschwitz-Birkenau​

His tank smashed through the fence at the death camp in 1945, while he later coached the Soviet women’s fencing team to four Olympic titles

A Jewish Red Army veteran, he has died aged 98 Thought to be the last surviving soldier who took part in the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, a complex of concentration and extermination camps in Nazi-occupied Poland, where more than a million people, most of them Jews, were murdered between 1940 and 1945

Glynn Lunney, Nasa engineer who oversaw the Apollo 13 emergency operation​

His role in the Apollo 13 mission was underplayed in the movie but he was lauded by his colleagues for his coolness under pressure. He has died aged 84.He was an American aeronautical engineer who had a key role in steering the US space agency Nasa through its first manned space flights in Earth orbit, then on to the Moon landings and the Space Shuttle.
