Shame. At least he lived to a good age. He was great in The Borrowers and delightfully sinister in Alien.

Was only just reading last night about the proposed sequel to Aliens being proposed with Sigourney Weaver in it. Basically ignoring what happened in Aliens 3. Wont be any Ash in this one sadly.

In my mind, after the first two, Ridley Scott died on the way back to his home planet and the copyright for the Alien franchise with him. James Cameron gave an interview where he was thankful to have gotten the opportunity to make a sequel as it is now forever impossible to ever make another installment. As such, no other Alien movies exist and we are only left with two perfect films.
