Have listened to Pet Sounds more times than is probably healthy, and was lucky enough to see him perform the album in full, with his fantastic band, in the Philharmonic in town a good few years back.

He wrote the tune to that song - but farmed it out for the spot on lyrics outside the Beach boys a brave thing to do as its a classic
Great fan of the Beatles music inspired him to write such good songs played some songs in his studio with Paul who admired his song writing vice versa - a sad loss to music .. RIP

The Beach Boys gave The Beatles a run for their money in the sixties. Brian was a brilliant songwriter who captured the feelings of young folk in that era. He had a lot of problems and had some bad advice from one or two people but the music lives on. There's a great bit of film of him and George Martin.
