A sad loss - when I was growing up they seemed to be the only North Wales band that anyone actually had heard of.

one of my fave bands in the 80s. I had a bootleg recording (on a cassette tape!!) from a gig they did audit was fantastic. Gutted I lost it.

Sad to hear of Mike peters passing. A family friend was receiving treatment at the local cancer unit a few years back and Mike was having treatment there the same time, Mike raised a lot of money for the unit too over the years, great fella. RIP X

Used to do that yearly walk up Snowdon as a fundraiser.

I remember him doing it one year when he could barely walk due to the treatment he was having at the time, but he still got to the summit.

Saw him quite a few times when he fronting Big Country following the death of Stuart Adamson.

Came across as a top fella, who just loved being in a band, performing live and wasn’t the slightest bit arsed about fame.

He used to have a pint with the audience after the gig too. There’s not many like that.

Too fella and a sad loss.

Very sad news. I was never really into The Alarm's music but I met him years ago when he played solo at a gallery I worked in and he came across as a quiet, gentle and sound human being. Fought his illness bravely for years, RIP.
