Moyes has "best of the rest" nailed with his "steady eddie" approach we lose or draw matches we should win and win some we shouldn't but last night's Southampton performance shows the real problem ie sometimes it's a bit cold!

The Premier league "proper" where that sort of bollox isn't tolerated remains the old sky4 plus newcomers Citeh and Spurs and when any of them fook up we float unheralded beyond "our" 7th place mooring without actually doing anything. Graciously the RS and Arsenal have tried to oblige but you can't get away with that sort of sh1t at those places so they're sorting it.

Helps that they have a £20m striker bang on form too.

They are playing Sterling regularly (who will cost £5m) and occasionally Wisdom and Suso. They very rarely play more than one of these in a Premier league game. For all their "we play the kids" talk their last line up only had one player under 22 and cost almost £100m in transfer fees.

It's not about how much you spend, I think we have proven that over the years. It is down to the team selected been arsed on the day.

Once again we just cannot break **** teams down and the reason is - we are ****.

No I'm not a red, had A season ticket for over 25 years, but they have players on par with ours, a **** manager but still put up a performance.

Will we make top 4? No, but unfortunately both Spurs and the ****e have more of a chance of achieving it, but would love to eat my own words.

The idea that these teams are more aggressive and positive is somewhat diminished by the fact that one has less points than us (so maybe they shouldn't be so aggressive?) and one is just one win ahead of us. Also weren't we leading all top leagues in shots at one point? Have the tactics changed or have the players changed?

What if it's just not having Gibbo and Mirallas? Is that not as reasonable a possibility as any? Do they not give us four extra points of value over their replacements? (As for squad depth that's a luxury we cannot afford.)

We're simply not a clinical side whatsoever, and haven't been for quite a few years actually - especially this season. We don't get inferior opposition on the back foot enough and thus it gives them encouragement when a) we fail to do that and b) when we do, don't take our chances.

Thus, we consistently lose points against teams we "should" be beating.

It very much is to be honest. I'm sure if we could have signed Sturridge then we would score more goals and get more points, for example.
