He will add more goals, assists, and leadership to the team so it's a yes from me! Roonaldo is coming home baby!!!

The most important word I associate with Rooney is vision. We need a playmaker.. a player that sees others and a pass no one else sees and can execute it to perfection. No one has been better than Rooney at this in england over the last 15 years taking it as a whole.

I am so for this move I couldn't give a toss about Siggy or any other number 10.

If we get Rooney I would tell Lukaku to lump it and tell his friends he's around another year. The 2 of them could be unplayable. Rooneys touch with Roms finishing and power.
A playmaker has to be able to run!

one of the prem's greatest ever players and goal scorers , won everything in the domestic game , loves the club , knows the club , world wide marketing , and at 31 isn't too old (I don't buy all this 'past it' nonsense)
I don't see him as lukaku's replacement, he is kone's , sandro is deulofeu's .

but as much as id be happy to see rooney back and think he will be banging in goals for us , its sad to see deulofeu barkley and lukaku go.
please give davies a 10 year contract and enough of selling our prodigys.

He gets to prove he's not fading, we get our media profile even more through the roof than buying anyone and everyone is doing and then he sharks off to China or the States in a couple of years and everyone's laughing.

My thoughts.

He flops - the initial homecoming story, becomes the story of Rooney being finished, the story will run a bit then becomes a none story.

He does ok - it becomes a relative none story after the initial homecoming hullabaloo.

He has a throwback season - it then becomes the fairy tale story of the season and we gain an absolute massive amount of publicity throughout the season. He scores a winner against United or the rs and it becomes THE story of the footballing world that week.

So we either lose slightly, lose nothing or have a chance to gain massively. Worth the risk for me.
