The Budget

A big part of the argument for leaving is to retain sovereingty, but we are already part of hundreds of international treaties that erode that, and as the world becomes more connected, it's likely to become more so. I just think it dumbs it down a bit by using that as an argument for leaving.

The more I looked into the whole thing the more apparent this became.

Still think sovereignty would increase outside of the EU, but would it be by enough to make leaving worth it? Would I even want to give the Tories more sovereignty?

Suffice to say I don't have a breakdown of those to ascertain which of them are EU related, but my point was that the whole 'retaining sovereingty' argument was a bit daft.
To be honest, I'm not really sure what 'retaining sovereignty' really means. But I'm pretty sure that not being in the EU will not stop us interacting with other European countries if needs be. Certainly don't see us being excluded from such conversations as agreed standards on driverless cars and suchlike, simply cos we're not in the EU.

EU is for socialists to hide among the flotsam and jetsam and snipe from the back, that the world OWE'S me a living.
If I can't hack it,I can just blame The Tory Party, the rest of the world,or,maybe myself, for not paying more attention in school.

What chance the EU to step in an say the cuts are unlawful under eu law just before the referendum?

Or should I lay off the purple kool aid for a while?

Yes mate...that sounds like a good idea...another one would be to give your head a wobble and think about democracy, you know, that thing denied by the EU,and by Corbyn and his Momentum pals.

Interesting to see Labour in front in the most recent opinion poll...the party that's got no chance with Corbyn in charge.

Maybe the budget and reaction to it is part and parcel of that public perception over how chaotic and clueless the Tory leadership is now and it's translated into voting intentions.

The in-fighting over the EU referendum and continuing jockeying for position to take over from Cameron, and the gloomy general economic outlook point in the direction of a turbulent period coming up for this government.

Well said davek....get rid of Corbyn and his mob,and then get the proper Labour Party back in the saddle and we might get a revival of democracy back in the country.

That's not what he was saying kid
Am aware of that Prevenger....just saying that in the absence of any creditable opposition party,I fear the country is stumbling into a one party state, and from there,it's a small few steps to a dictatorship.
Labour needs to get back in the game, before it's too late.

Can someone help me on something?

Regarding changing all schools to Academy's by 2020, If Labour where to get control after the next election, Can they change that?
