You know what, as an Evertonian, he's the greatest of all time for me. Not the greatest player of all time (which would be... well, not even going there. Dunc wouldn't make the top ten in that list anyway), but the best bloke to ever throw on a blue shirt.

Obviously I'm too young to remember the great Everton sides, and all the legends of the 60s and 80s, but he's my Everton hero.

And to me at least, keeping spirits high and showing such fight and passion, during a dark time for our club, is as important a thing as anyone's ever done for our club.

It's a shame he had injuries, it's a shame we didn't have better players to support him and it's a shame the Newcastle debacle happened, but Dunc is a true legend for me. My Everton hero.
