The back 4 are the problem

..the squad is the problem.

Many of whom qualified for Europe with the club last season, or have careers where they have won massive amounts of trophies elsewhere.

As opposed to the manager who has won, er, nothing, anywhere.

You've been proven wrong so many times on your 'miracle worker' shout.

The mask is slipping....

They are also terrible in serving the ball to the midfield. Whenever they are under pressure, which almost every opponent does against us these days, they turn into headless chickens and try to just lounge the ball forward without an aim as if it was a granade.

Defending is a collective thing. People said SA had sorted our defending when he first arrived when the truth is he just put a blanket of midfielders sat in front of the back line. Soon as they are given licence the frailties reappear in defence as they aren't actualy being coached to improve eith collectively or individually.

The chopping and changing back there is lunacy, he should at least be forging partnerships and only change from that as last resort. Martina is the best LB in the squad until Baines is back and ditto Kenny until Coleman is back. In the centre pair Keane and Holgate every single opportunity.

Although he has done the job i.e. got us out of a relegation battle (I hope), he cannot be allowed to stay long term. I thought at one stage give him until mid next season, but after watching our away performances under him, he has to be paid off after we are completely safe. The whole player set up is wrong not the defence alone.

The funny thing is, we sit in 9th place, 7 points above the relegation places (that does really show how crap the quality of the prem is) and I said it earlier on another thread, after 14 games in charge for Allardyce, and with the 42 points available from those 14 games, we are only 2 points better off since his first official game in charge.

Couldn't agree more. Look at us, a team who don't try to win games and we are 9th in a 20 team league you have to ask what sort of teams can't manage to be better than us. As for Fat Sam, fear and 11 crap teams are keeping him in a job.

The defence is not the best, but it's the lack of an industrious, creative midfield that makes us creek at the back. We just don't put the opposition under pressure anywhere on the pitch, never on the front foot.

Okaka leathered him
The best player LOL. Have you watched Watfords goal . The guy is standing on the goal line, trying to get his head away from the ball, when Watfords center forward scores from 7m. Never thought about to close him down. Make it harder for him to score?

Our defence is unbalanced or not good enough. Our best run was with Williams and Holgate. Our full backs are poor without Coleman and or a quality left back too. Keane did ok yesterday he needs a run with Holgate for me.
