Weird how they sacked Gerrard and were playing Champions League football within 18 months.

And now this.

I think we're being had.

It simply boils down to the ambition of the owners, even loons like Marinakis, he’s more miss than hit, but he has shown nothing but (reckless) ambition getting them promoted, spending like a mad man, nearly getting them champions league, and ending in a Europa League semi. They haven’t won anything, but ambition does take you some of the way. This needs to be married of course with competence and financial backing.

Unfortunately, I think in light of the rumours coming out of the club that they see Moyes as a longer term appointment coupled with the CEOs ridiculous statement, our owners and board do not have lofty enough ambitions for us.
