i wouldn't have picked him ha. I would have picked the guy who went for a lot of runs, but also got wickets in the warm-up. There are 4 or 5 fielders outside that one day ring already. It's not taking the game to the opposition at all. It's just easy, let them have their runs, (in england's mind), they'll get them slower than they would if they attacked, but that's not how it works and it's disgustingly negative. Relieves any pressure and allows aus to play with all kinds of freedom. Look at what's happening here.

anyway, i'm going to get some nice rest before the derby, instead of watching this tripe. It's suppose to be test cricket ffs

usually on pitches like this which offer absolutely nothing. these are two of the worst batting line-ups in the world at the moment though. Mind you, there aren't many good ones around anywhere anymore because of all this one-day and T20 crap. Then there's also rain.

On a flat deck as well. I guess if I knew I was having trouble with the short ball and they wanted me to face some chin music I'd be shy getting down the other end. Problem was they bowled the short balls very badly and gave up too quickly, and that's the bowler, tremlett needs to find 10kph. Clarke though, one of the form players in the world.
