They'll probably win the 5th test as well, and this can rank alongside the India and Ashes at home as series that should have been won, but let's not throw the playbook out as they're "really" close, especially as we have Pakistan next up, which should be easily winnable.

I guess I mean from a form perspective. England's batters are riddled with technical difficiencies but "Baz ball" can mask that by hitting to a total on small grounds. Australia's batters were all out of form going into the series, but they're experienced and well versed in ~~winning.~~

It's fascinating, the wofters turn up for a booze fueled holiday and get shown up, aus win it in three, go out on the razz, the wofters win a dead rubber and suddenly it's the new shoots of a turn around.

All's forgiven because aus were hung over? Get this bunch binned off and done with. Same with the coach and selecting crew. They're not out of their depth, they're all at sea. A shambles to a man every one! Be gone, and stay gone.

It feels telling the priorities of the ECB that the Test series with Pakistan is relegated to August, with a meaningless series of T20 and 1 day matches against India first up.

I’ve seen a lot of County Cricket, there is not much, if anything, better than that squad in England.

According to reports, England are hardly a model of sobriety. I largely agree about coaching and management, but I am struggling to think who should come in and then perform any better, given the lack of preparation for this tour.

Bethel whilst obviously an enormous talent, has barely played any first class cricket at all. It is a huge risk to play him at this level.

Maybe a tazer will liven them up. woft shot, 30k volts, missed catch 40k, gift wicket 50k. All this fairy dust and pansy cake and farting about with psychotic excuses is for the bin. time for some tough love. very tough.

Well that is a bit extreme, but the sentiment is right. Has to be accountability for poor performance.

Lots of action, and not many will remember seeing and england win was it 18 years ago? novelty value. cricket aus with 4 days served out of 10 will hurt the old coffers. You watch, they'll discipline the turf management consultant (pitch boss) before heads roll around england plc.

This is the classic England fan, already putting a caveat on his team possibly winning so we can still cry and go back to previous methods that won so many games in away ashes series

Probably the worst thing about the ashes is part timers watching for the first time in 4 years and giving their expertise
