….i had it in mind that England needed a minimum of 250 lead. Disappointing to have finished some way short of that, especially after a reasonable start.

Just feel we’re short of where we need to be.

Absolutely nothing wrong with this pitch.
England have just batted poorly twice.
Their bowlers got them out of trouble once , asking a lot to do it again with no rest.

Aus play the ‘traditional’ way then they walk this. They wont mind being ‘boring’ imo. See off the new ball. Leave well and defend. England will soon get bored

Don't know if anyone watched the Australian first innings, be hard to forget seeing as it was only yesterday (and today!) but they did not bat well and had no answer to the quicks. Their opening bat has a slipped disc apparently, and Lyon is also injured. This is there for the taking, they're not facing Andy Caddick and Mark Ealham.

I have absolutely no idea what will happen. Going by the other innings ball should dominate bat again. But this has been terribly poor best batting by both sides so far. No one has occupied the crease or valued their wicket.

I mean obviously England would want another 100 runs, goes without saying, but people aren't looking at the context of the game and the pressure involved with chasing the highest score of the match to win. Australia should win, but even if they do it will be because they batted very well.
