A few things caught my eye. The only thing more spectacular that that ground (and it's a cracker!) is the sheer volume of beautiful sunshine it's bathed in.
The majority of hook shots didn't make the boundary and got hoovered up, so the shot of the day was the straight drive back up the wicket, initially the off batsman was regular doing the hokey cokey for both sides to get out of the way, or so I thought, 'cos their batsman that took a shot to the head and had the moves to dance around the wicket gets todays top tap shoe prize.

Oh, and Brook gets sportsman of the day for walking when he knew he was done, obviously scurrilous rat of the day goes to the riff raff that tried to front it out for aus. Snide.

Bar some miracle, it seems England will have the top 3 scoring batsmen of the first innings. The odds on that would be pretty large.
