I thought they had a shot in what would be low scoring affairs as both batting lineups have debatable techniques. Archer, Wood and Atkinson were a strong lineup with Carse bowling wicket taking deliveries and breaking partnerships. One was half asleep for 2 tests, one got injured and the third got dropped, Carse then becomes fodder with no pressure.
