All the Aussies make great commentators and pundits and come across as really decent and respectful. It’s when they all get together they start being very VERY bad people.

In Athertons bio, he wrote that England always had a crib sheet on how to get the Aussies out. Was always a ? against Gilchrist, followed by the memorable line, "We couldnt get him in, let alone out!"

There's a huge discrepancy between test pace bowlers and county too, so lots of batsmen coming into the top level simply haven't experienced it.

I can't remember the exact number (need to ask my brother), but he said that less than 1% of pace balls at County level are above the 85mph mark.

Sure it's like 1 in 140 balls, where at test level it's in the 1 in 6 to 1 to 7 bracket. There's absolutely no hiding from it, hence why you need to be a top batsman.
