It is scripted in a way mate.

They are all told to be as over the top as possible before the show start.

You're spot on though. It's just a TV show. It's meant to be entertaining and that sometimes nees extreme characters to act like utter morons.

Imagine if it was just a group of 10 normal business people. It would be the most boring show ever.
