Do you think? I have no idea to be honest, but I imagined it to be more like the academy system, whereby the state would provide the funding but xyz could do the delivery. So it's still free to all, but there would possibly be a range of state, non-profit, private orgs doing whatever it was. So the patient would ultimately choose rather than a franchise based monopoly provision ala the railways.

Nothing to do with political or economic systems, it's humanity that's the problem. Socialism has never functioned more successfully than Capitalism on a large and long lasting scale.
Anyway, as for privatisation of the NHS, surely Labour must receive a fair portion of blame for laying the groundwork for any future privatisation.

And I do think there is a constant "message" in our society that capitalism might be a bit erm bad but, hey, just think of the alternative!
Hence posts like yours.
I'm not arguing for "Socialism" (whatever "socialism" might be) as you so quickly assume, I'm saying to everyone - but particularly your generation - "QUESTION EVERYTHING!!"

The picture you posted says 'Capitalism doesn't work', in fact that seems to be the entire point of it, but there is zero evidence of there being a better system. Socialism for example has failed in many ways in any state that has implemented it. What's the constant between both ? Humans.

It's not rocket science, folks. The Man loves an economic boom because he gets really rich while we're happy for him to do it because we do well too. And he loves a recession because all bets are off and we have to bear the brunt whilst The Man fills his pockets.
