So the PM's of John Major, Tony Blair and Gordon Brown just twiddled their thumbs and took no notice. Here's one for you, Merseyside Football teams kept winning the Title while Maggie was in power and have not won it since she resigned, is that down to her as well then......

Major, Blair and Brown couldn't un bang the big bang that cat was already out the bag but I will say this Cameron was calling for even more deregulation when he was leader of the opposition , the rest of your argument is ridiculous of course you know so I will leave it there.

You're getting silly there, mate. Play it straight, will you.

It is a fact that "the big bang," i.e. a huge deregulation of The City, was a Thatcherite cornerstone. There are few credible people around who will claim that that deregulation wasn't a major (if not THE major) cause of the current financial crisis.

Simply put, the rules were relaxed so that money could chase more money (and the sponsors of the Tory party could fill their boots) and it all ended up pretty ugly.

I know, but it's equally silly to try and pin the problems on Thatcher when 3 other PM's have been in place since she resigned. If what she did was bad each of them could have changed it........

So your saying that a PM cannot change what exists. In that case why would Milliband be good for the country, or would he just twiddle his thumbs until something else went wrong then we can all blame Thatcher again.........get real.....

The rest of the world followed her and Reagan capitalistic ways mate .

I honestly find it baffling that anyone could see that Milliband as a competent PM. Or Balls at No 11.

And I could also say the same about several Tory leaders in the past as well.

You can lob stats and charts and graphs around about this that and everything, but imo, it is ALL about having a ticking economy, because without that, everything else can sit in an out tray somewhere.

And it is moving in the right direction.

If Cameron loses theirs more chance its down to people voting UKIP than Labour. Most of the 2010 vote the Tories has lost has gone to Farage while Labour have gained from Lib Dems

I think UKIP are going down the plug hole tbh. The big fear is that the Tories and Labour voters in Scotland cannot stop the SNP from winning. Then we'll have a grinning Salmond pulling Millibands strings........

Come on, fella. Not so easy to get the toothpaste back into the tube, especially when she and her ilk had mananged to so firmly set the country's (world's?) political mindset. Greed was GOOD in those days. The Free Market was KING. The wealth would TRICKLE DOWN. Anyone who stood in its way was political mincemeat, even though they were, it seems, actually right.

What a pack of lies. How poorer we a now.

All policy can be changed by those in power, if they want to. The reason nothing has changed, some 25 years after she left office, 25 years ffs, is because all the following PM's agreed with it.......
