real problem? no.

them striking and putting lives at risk? yes.

should be a critical service and thus not able for strike action.

thanks.
If they aren't getting suitably paid, they will seek other jobs to make up the gap and the last thing you want is a fireman who's half a sleep from taxing or some such.

should be a critical service and thus not able for strike action.

I see, so they should be forced to put their own lives at risk no matter what. Or maybe they should have their pay set by an independent body like those in the NHS and the government would then pay up - oh no wait......

at risk no matter.... apart from when they strike for the umpteenth time and reservists / squaddies have to cover for them without the same level of training or kit.

but hey, got to get those cats out of the tree (with a lovely pension and terms) #cameronmustgobutifhegivesusmoremoneywellprobablyswitchtomillibandmusntgetin

Gideon spaced out at PMQs. WTF?

I'm not sure, but I do believe David Cameron has just put forward a reasonable argument, and one that I somewhat agree with.

Let's see if his mates in the service sector and building industries agree with him - the ones who benefit by exploiting cheap foreign labour.

Of course, it's all BS designed to pacify the xenophobes and see the Tories into the next election and their fight with UKIP.
