Also, I'd say the Dempsey/Liverpool story will happen, It looks like a game of chicken before the deadline - Fulham need to sell him and Liverpool need to buy him, but neither want to pay/sacrifice more than they want. It'll probably happen in the last few minutes!

Apparently Villa offered £5m + £2m in add ons for Dempsey and the RS can't/won't match it.

It seems like Henry has taken the same approach as his compatriot Randy Lerner by putting loads of money in to begin with and then taking it back again. Wouldn't it be ace if they had to rely on their youth academy like Villa have done? Especially since Benitez closed it down and it was only reinstated under Dalglish!
