I see you joined in 2012....back in the summer of 2009 (may have been 2008) we could have got him for like £6m, but Kenwright was a bell.
Since then I know myself and Goat have had really small hope that it still might happen.

He's boss mate. Like really boss.

dayum, i knew about the story, just didnt know the details. thought it was about 15m as opposed to 6m that we were going to spend on him. ah well, seems as if we've missed out on a couple of boss signings in the past i.e. essien an hazard, just hoping niang doesn't turn out this way. ah well, we're boss atm, we havent signed adam today, our squad is beeing beefed up and i truly believe we will have a good season. positive mood ahead

There was some competition thread thing on here the other day where you had to guess who the biggest signing of the transfer window would be - fee, position, club. I predicted a CAM (Diego) to Spurs for £18m.

*windmills in anticipation*

I said Moutinho ..

Porto currently keeping schtum on reports of an impending deal for Joao Moutinho - in fact, they've named a 19-man squad for tomorrow's game at Olhanense a short while ago and the midfielder is in it, along with Hulk.

Inter Milan say Maicon has joined City. Tbh I think he is past his best so it's not a massive coup, but still a big name.

Gutted about Spurs and all their money, but what a great chairman they have. If only ours had the resources and business-nous as him.

I find the Scott Sinclair move to Man City as an odd choice for the player.

He will surely get a big pay rise and be on the fringes of a squad that will likely have success for a few years.

On the other hand he left Chelsea when he was younger on a lot of loan deals before signing permanently at Swansea, in spite of him being highly rated at Chelsea.

He seems like a player who actually wants to play, and honestly, I don't see him breaking in as a first choice, moreso a player who plays against 'lesser' threats the weekend after a Champions League game.
