His tactics weren't suited to a defence with Terry who is past it. Playing a high line with slow players like him will get you nowhere. They have Vertonghen at Spurs who likes to carry the ball ala Vermaelen. There is not really any players at Spurs who have a bigger than the club ego either (Like Lampard and Terry). The reason Chelsea players took over the dressing room is because they could.

Tbh mate I reckon Spurs will be out of sight, Arsenal have the RVP money to spend yet and Liverpool aren't even wasting their money that badly, like they did under Kenny. We need Mirallas to be boss and we need a couple more players to compete with these teams. Then again, I always think like this at the start of the season and it usually ain't that bad!

yeah mate, we can't compete with that money splashing. We just need to rely on our strenghts and fight, hopefully one more signing coming up.

All these new players take time to settle and so too many of them can be dangerous.

I am happy with what we have so far, if we add 3-4 more bodies to the settled squad we have we can compete with the likes of Arsenal and Spurs.
