Approx £525m comes from China to the PL, plus the ongoing trade disputes, anyone think this could developer into an even bigger issue?

Wouldn’t be beyond China to simply pull the plug tbh.

Whilst I agree with the message that China's treatment of the Uighur Muslims is greatly concerning* I have to say that it is completely hypocritical of Ozil - He's best buds with a man (Erdogan) that is guilty of mass-slaughter.

100% agree

Similar thing happened in the NBA only a few months ago. Looked like it could get really bad for both sides but just sort of went away.

Depends on how its handled on both sides from here I guess. Shouldn't cower to Chinese money like. They're doing some awful stuff, shouldn't be wrong to call that out.

When my grandad was alive, he used to say something along the lines of "The Chinese are going to rule the world one day".
One of the oldest civilisations on earth. They were there at the beginning and they will be there at the end....
They are smart and they are patient.
They will leave the rest of the world to frack each other up and then glide in and sweep up the pieces.
Plus they own most of the rice.

Think a key difference is the NBA is huge in China to the point of possibly being a real disruption for the Chinese government to completely block access. I'm not sure the PL has that type of flex.
