Absolutely sweltering out here today

Do what “her who must be obeyed” does in this house! Fill it with cold water, bang it in the freezer until frozen then it’s ready to be used as a cooler at the required time! Doesn’t do it for me but she swears by it!
Sounds like a good idea that. It’s definitely going to get tested and see if agree with your missus.

I’ve got one but it’s self assemble and I’m a lazy git.

I have a fan in nearly every room and still have a back up fan in a box ready to be put together. Needed to do it this weekend as my bedroom fan died. Just moved fans around instead.

Currently a contest to see when my irritation with moving fans about daily overrides my laziness for assembling the new fan.

Been several straight days of 93F weather, with the low night time temps only getting down to 73F or so. But my house, for better and worse, holds heat very well, which is great in the winter but makes these nights about 78-80 in my bedroom. I had three fans going these past nights.

Same. 93/73 isn't bad but the humidity (where's that vomit emoji?)
73 isn't warm enough to kick on the ac unless you set the thermostat below 70 so the air just becomes thick.
Sheets feel damp before you even get a chance to sweat on them.

I've had two fans recently - one that blows at me and another in front of the vent to help circulate the ac.
Suppose it's three if you count the ceiling fan.
