It’s unbelievably hot in my back garden this afternoon… struggling to sit out in it to be honest

Do what “her who must be obeyed” does in this house! Fill it with cold water, bang it in the freezer until frozen then it’s ready to be used as a cooler at the required time! Doesn’t do it for me but she swears by it!Can’t sleep here as it’s roasting. Might need to put the hot water bottle away.
If those are your knees you're not kidding!Absolutely sweltering out here today

Sounds like a good idea that. It’s definitely going to get tested and see if agree with your missus.Do what “her who must be obeyed” does in this house! She says to make sure not to overfill the “cold” water bottle, and make sure it has a cover on or wrap it in a towel!Sounds like a good idea that. It’s definitely going to get tested and see if agree with your missus.
I’ve got one but it’s self assemble and I’m a lazy git.
Been several straight days of 93F weather, with the low night time temps only getting down to 73F or so. But my house, for better and worse, holds heat very well, which is great in the winter but makes these nights about 78-80 in my bedroom. I had three fans going these past nights.
Because of the humid nature of our climate I think it's worse than hotter conditions in other countries.
At the moment air con in the UK is only needed about 10 days a year. If that gets to 2 weeks consecutively then it will be worth the outlay.
Probs because we don’t need them. Even when it’s hot here it’s not actually hot.
