'THANKS' ?

It's also one of those things that makes me feel completely alienated from the club as an Evertonian, on an emotional level...as it was so personal.

Well, this was cathartic.,,and a downer.

I grew up in a street where I could see Goodison from my bedroom window

dunno know why you think that you're alienated mate, coz you're as fkn evertonian as I am

and therefore an honorary scouser, you say what you feel mate

if you don't want to, well that's cool too, but don't ever feel like "oh am not from Liverpool so it's not allowed"

good lord do you realise the respect you'd get from coming from the other side of the world and picking the toffs over all the other sh!te ?

you're a top man mate, your opinion is respected x

It's a bit of point scoring from the terraces in some respects isn't it? Be far better to put more effort in supporting our team rather than against them lot, Goodison is like a church sometimes yet we get up for singing this stuff twice a year. I understand why in some respects, but it'd be far better getting behind our team instead.

*stands and applauds

let the oppo's do what they fkn want, we are better than them

The "always the victim" song is nothing to do with Hillsborough. We know it, they know it.

They once again are just using rattle out of the pram tactics again because they thought Everton would roll over for them on Sunday and they never.

This is all they can have a go at us for.

Have Everton ever been involved in a football match where tradgedy occured and people lost their lives? - No

Have Everton ever had a player bite or be found guilty or racial abuse? - No

Have Everton ever backed one of their fans unreservedly over an ioncident where a bloke had a paving stone dropped on his head? - No

Have Everton fans ever attacked an ambulance with an opposing player in it - No.

Have Everton fans robbed off their their own and thrown bags of piss at opposing fans? - No

I could go on, but there is little point. They don't like us because we currently have a better football team than they do and will try any tactic possible to keep themselves in the limelight.

The fans have no class, this was their chance to say thanks and all i could see was banners for their goldenboy, they were more arsed about ratboy.

It was extraordinarily crass and stupid for any Evertonian to sing that song given its history, especially as we were being thanked for our support.

So we are berated for singing 'Always the Victim' but ok for a banner supporting Suarez to be hoisted high during the 'Thank You' ?

OFFENDED BY EVERYTHING...........................................ASHAMED OF NOTHING.

I think we should stop singing these songs because they are pathetic. I was embarrassed on Sunday and I am not sure if I'll go to another derby at Anfield after that.

The ''victims'' song may not be specifically about Hilborough but let's be honest, it is partly and in light of what happened last year it would be sensible to stop singing it. The problem is that the people who sing these songs are morons. It's not playful banter, it's poisonous hatred. Why not just sing songs to support our own team? We look small time and bitter when we spend the majority of our time signing anti-Liverpool songs.

For the record, I agree that their attempt at saying thankyou was ill advised and really failed to hit the mark. But we can hardly call them classless when our own fans behaved with little class or dignity either.

Are you saying we shouldn't talk/sing to the animals ?
