From what I could make out in the days prior to the game the idea was to have a THANK YOU EVERTON mosaic in red and blue and a chant of Merseyside Merseyside to go along with it. That somehow tuned into a pretty bland THANK YOU accompanied by all their lot waving their banners obscuring it and the playing of YNWA.

Something went disastrously wrong their end of things.

Murderers is disrespectful, end of. Using the death of 39 people as a vehicle to attack that lot is embarrassing and needs to be stopped.

Spot on. It's no less disgusting than Kopites singing about Munich. Both are using the death of innocents as point scoring.

If people want to sing Always the Victims, fine. I've sung it myself plenty about Suarez etc. But the murderers chant doesn't do anybody any favours, and puts our club in a bad light.
