Team vs Krasnodar

With the United game coming so quickly after i'd leave the key players at home and go there with a team similar to the carling cup one. Losing this one isn't a disaster as long as we win our home games

I think we need to pick up a bit of momentum so strong team with one or two changes at most. We're going to be getting players back like Pienaar. Kone, Oviedo and Barkley soon so plenty of time to be chopping and changing once we're through.

.......mmmm, already looking like RM fancies this competition, probably love it on his CV. Have to think Eto'o, Distin, Besic, Atsu and Gibson look certainties. Browning, Hibbert possibilities. My early team sheet;

Howard
Hibbert, Browning, Distin, Garbutt
Atsu, Gibson, Besic, McGeady
Osman
Eto'o.

Is there any date on Ross ?

Considering Krasnodar are no mugs and are actually unbeaten so far this season only conceding 5 goals in 9 games in all comps playing a weak team would be stupid. Krasnodar as much as Lille and Wolfsburg will definitely challenge for the top two places in the group. Need to play a fairly strong team I think.

I think we're going to get beat at utd whatever team we play.

Without Mirallas and Ross we don't have anyone that can carry the ball with pace on the counter.

For that reason we should just play our full strength team and hopefully take a bit of pressure off.

Having played a full strength team against the Germans it would be odd if he made too many changes on Thursday. Eto'o and McGeady are natural picks because of their experience playing in Russia.

But we have got a few other young players knocking on the door of the first team who could do well if given a chance : take your pick from Oviedo, Garbutt, Browning, Gibson, Besic, Atsu. Just don't pick them all !

We're already out of the League Cup and I don't think we can go into this one with a mentality of "It's OK if we lose it, we'll make up for it at home, Lille or Wolfsburg". It's too early in the competition to do that.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Barry rested ( because of his age ) to save him for ManU and I'd guess we'll rotate a little, but I'd rather get results early in the Europa League and hope to be in a situation where we're left with a dead rubber at the end.

I'd be surprised if the starting XI wasn't much closer to our strongest team than we played at Swansea, with six to eight first choicers starting.

Should we rest the majority of the team for this or go with full strength out of what we had? I'd go with: Howard; Browning, Jagielka, Stones, Baines; Gibson, Besic; McGeady, Osman, Atsu; Eto'o with a bench of Joel, Hibbert, Alcaraz, Oviedo, Kone, McCarthy, Naismith

Don't take Baines. Garbutt/Oviedo to start, maybe Pienaar on the bench if he's fit.

I would go with this:

Robles
Browning alcaraz distin oviedo

Osman Gibson

Mcgeady Naismith pienaar

Kone/long

Then play a 4-3-3 against Utd with

Howard

Coleman Jagielka Stones Baines

Mccarthy Barry Besic

Atsu Lukaku Eto'o

get at Uniteds fragile defence with pace and power as we sit back like today we will lose as they can score goals. Krasnador away will be tough even with our best 11. Also the cold weather the last thing we need is players picking up muscle injuries we have enough players out
