I had one driver try to charge me £23 from town to county road, obviously he thought I was under the influence, told him straight the journey was not £23, cue the ohh sorry where is my glasses ? Sorry mate its £13.

How do charges work though? Is it not based on time? That journey could take 40 minutes in match day traffic.
Uber can be a bargain. Journey from Toxteth to Mount Pleasant and then on to Goodison cost me £7 the other week. Journey home (L8) from town on a Saturday night cost £3.80.

I never really used cabs until a recent injury. I'd say that Black cabs should be avoided completely nowadays, private hires are often half the price at least, which never used to be the. Mostly your only waiting 15 minutes at most for a private hire, they very rarely try to rip you off.
