Taxi fare's to airport.

Towards the end of last season and once already this season some of our lads heading to the airport from the ground after the match have had taxi drivers try and overcharge them. It usually sets us back twenty quid but lads have been charged near thirty quid. At the spurs game five of our bunch were being charged £30 and they had words with the driver who apologized saying he had the meter on peak setting by mistake and only took twenty off the lads. Any other of us foreign blues come across this lately?

..I think taxis are under the jurisdiction of Liverpool City Council Hackney Carriage office, if customers are unhappy with the service they should take the drivers badge number and cab plate number and complain.

So being overcharged Is ok then ?. It's always cost me twenty, usually give a tip for the driver

book through delta on the phone and get a rough price guide so the cabbie can't take the piss. Black cabs are renound for bumping tourists but that happens everywhere .

Taxi drivers have always tried it on, the amount of times they tried to put the peak meter on when they thought we were out of towners is a joke. Have no problem seeing Uber take all their business
